Austin Countertop FAQ
Austin Tops is a local countertop fabricator and installer based at 7718 Danz Blvd in Austin, TX 78724. We template your space, cut every top on our own CNC in our shop, and install with our own crew. We've been doing stonework in Central Texas for 28 years. Call or text 512-905-8446 for a free in-home estimate.
Countertop pricing depends on the stone you pick, the slab grade, total square footage, edge profile, number of cutouts (sinks, cooktops, outlets), backsplash height and whether old tops need to be removed. Because we fabricate in our own Austin shop, you're paying the people who actually cut and install your stone, not a middleman. Send us your measurements or a photo of your kitchen, or book a free estimate, and we'll give you an exact price.

We fabricate and install granite, quartz, quartzite, marble, dolomite and porcelain countertops. Each has its own look, durability and care needs. See our countertop material comparison or call us for advice on which one fits your project.
Granite is natural stone, handles heat well and needs occasional sealing. Quartz is engineered, non-porous and very low maintenance, but it can scorch from hot pans and isn't meant for outdoor sun. Quartzite is a very hard natural stone with a marble-like look and good heat resistance. For a busy family kitchen, most Austin homeowners choose quartz or granite; for a high-end marble look with more durability, quartzite. Compare all countertop materials.
Yes. We keep a rotating inventory of granite, quartz, quartzite and porcelain slabs at our Danz Blvd shop, and we source marble and exotic stone by special order. Browse the slab gallery or stop by the shop (open 7 days, 9am to 7pm) to see slabs in person.
We install countertops throughout Austin and Central Texas, including Round Rock, Cedar Park, Georgetown, Leander, Pflugerville, Hutto, Manor, Lakeway, Bee Cave, Spicewood, Lago Vista, Liberty Hill, Rollingwood, Wells Branch and Tarrytown.
Most jobs are installed 7 to 14 days after templating, depending on the project. The process is: free estimate, pick your slab, we template on site, we cut and polish your tops on our CNC, then our crew installs.
Yes. Besides kitchen countertops, we fabricate bathroom vanity tops, waterfall islands, full-height backsplashes, shower walls, fireplace surrounds and outdoor kitchens. See our custom stone fabrication page.
Yes. We work with homeowners and with builders, remodelers and designers across the Austin area. Contractors can call or text 512-905-8446 to set up jobs.
Granite and quartzite handle heat well. Quartz and marble are more sensitive, and quartz can scorch from a hot pan. Always use trivets or hot pads to be safe.
Use mild soap and water for daily cleaning. Avoid harsh chemicals, especially on natural stone like marble and granite, and reseal natural stone countertops as recommended. Quartz never needs sealing.
Granite and quartzite can last a lifetime, and quartz lasts decades with basic care. Marble lasts for generations but shows wear like etching over time.
Yes. Choose your edge profile, finish, backsplash height and cutouts for sinks, cooktops and appliances. Our CNC cuts each piece to your exact template.
Most cutting and polishing happens at our shop on the CNC, so there's much less mess at your home. Small on-site adjustments can create some dust and noise, and we keep it to a minimum. You may want to clear the counters and cover nearby furniture.
Light use is fine right away. If your stone was sealed, wait 24 to 48 hours before heavier use so the sealer can fully cure. Our installer will give you guidance for your specific stone.
